The Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has extended his condolences to Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja and other members of the Ladoja family on the death of the mother of the former governor of Oyo State, Alhaja Halimatu Sadia Apinke Ladoja, at the age of 95.
In a statement by the Director of the Bureau of Communications and Strategy, Office of the Governor, Semiu Okanlawon, quoted the governor as expressing gratitude to God over what he called the enviable of the mother of Senator Ladoja.
Aregbesola, who prayed for the repose of Alhaja Ladoja’s soul, extended his “profound condolence to the immediate family, the government and the entire people of Oyo State.
“Personally, I consider her as a mother-figure and source of inspiration, who remained a devout Muslim and committed to improving lives of others up to the time she breathed her last. We will miss her a lot.”
The governor noted that her death was not only a loss to her immediate family, but also to the people of Ibadanland and the whole state.
The statement said: “I want use this opportunity to commiserate with my brother, the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“I am deeply saddened by your mother’s death.
“I send my condolences to your immediate and extended family.
“Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your mother.
“We will all miss her.
“She has touched the lives of so many people.
“There is no doubting the fact that her loss will be felt by everyone.”
