With the National Executive Council meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress going on at the instance of President Muhammadu Buhari today, it is hoped that the crisis that has engulfed the party over leadership positions in the National Assembly will be finally laid to rest.
It is however important to tell the leadership of the party that the important panacea for lasting peace in the party is for the party to carry everyone along in its decision making.
The leadership of the party needs not hurriedly forget that the APC is a party that was formed through a coalition of several other parties and interests.
The APC as party should count itself lucky to have a politician like Atiku Abubakar who remains committed to the development of his party, the APC.
Atiku has played a vital role in the emergence of Buhari as the president of Nigeria and has also severally expressed his unalloyed support for the Buhari administration.
The APC leadership needs not forget the role played by the likes of Atiku and five then sitting state governors of the PDP who left the party for the APC and gave the new party more energy for national spread and strength
I will like to use this medium to call on all major stakeholders in the APC to come together to move the party forward.
God bless Nigeria.
