The National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh has been accused of instigating court case against the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
A group, Anambra Advocates in a statement by Dr. Osita Okereke, said the alleged grouse of Metuh against the national chairman is that Mu’azu does not look after him like the former chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
Consequently, he has advised Mu’azu, to get rid of the PDP spokesperson if he wants to succeed.
“Metu is the brain behind those instituting court cases against the emergence of Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu as National Chairman. His alleged grouse is that Mu’azu is not taking care of him like the immediate former Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
“He has at every slight opportunity complained that Alhaji Mu’azu’s style of proper accountability does not allow him to “chop” like the way the old and aged Bamanga does and he has sworn that will do everything to frustrate Adamu out.
“Metu has been collecting money from some South East Governors whom he’s on their payroll to bankroll the onslaught and we call on the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Party to come out and discipline him because he has been carrying out a lot of shady dealings and if not checked, will bring the Party to disrepute.
“He is equally behind the rumor that the National Chairman will soon be removed and is also sponsoring those writing petitions to INEC, and all kinds of things.
“At a point in time he took hundreds of millions of Naira from a state governor in the South East who’s not doing well and currently at loggerheads with his political masters to fight the Chairman and some other members of the NWC, blackmailing them,” Okereke alleged.
