Operatives attached to operations Puff Adder and Sharan-Daji on Monday April 20, 2021 successfully repelled bandit attacks on Shekewa village after a gun battle.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Gambo Isah, said in a statement that the bandits were forced to abandon their mission and fled into the forest with varying degrees of bullet wounds due to police superior firepower.
Items recovered from the scene include one magazine of thirty rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition of AK-47 rifle, 29 sheep, 24 goats, and seven motorcycles.
The command then enjoined members of the public to cooperate with security agencies by giving them credible information on bandits and their collaborators, especially those supplying them with arms and ammunition and other essential commodities.
