Abdul-Kadir to Jonathan: Thank you for the opportunity to serve

The former Minister of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdul-Kadir, has expressed his deep appreciation to President Goodluck Jonathan for the opportunity to serve the nation, affording him the privilege to contribute his own quota to the development of about s60 million youths across the federation.
Speaking at the handing-over ceremony witnessed by top management officials of the Ministry in Abuja, Inuwa Abdul-Kadir disclosed that his short stint in the Ministry has enabled him appreciate greatly the numerous challenges facing the Nigerian youths.
He also disclosed that he has learnt a lot from the seasoned administrators and technocrats in the ministry in the course of the discharge of his duties.
He used the opportunity to advice the officials of the Ministry to continue to discharge their responsibilities in a manner that will continue to advance the policies of the Federal Government for the sector.
He told the gathering, which included the Directors-General of the National Youth Service Corps and the Citizens and Leadership Training Centre, to always be steadfast as public servants in their service to the nation.
In separate remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Tunji Olaopa, the Directors-General of NYSC and C&LTC, extolled the virtues of the former Minister and thanked him for his contributions to the development of the Ministry.
