The Plateau State Governor, Johah David Jang, on Thursday effected changes in the composition of the State Executive Council.
The governor said in the effort to fill the vacuum created by the resignation of some Commissioners to pursue their political ambition, the government had to appoint new ones to ensure continuity in governance.
Jang announced the appointment of four new commissioners.
These are Abubakar Mohammed (Information), Engr. Gyang Tanko (Works), Chris Kwaja (Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs) and Engr. Arings Vincent (Water Resources).
The commissioners who retained their portfolios are Yiljap Abraham (Tourism), Helen Maina (Commerce), Dr. Fom Dakwak (Health) and Abubakar Dashe (Transport).
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Barrister Olivie Dazyem was moved to the Ministry of Justice, while Paul Yai was redeployed from Ministry of Science and Technology to the Ministry of Education.
Jang charged them to be up and doing to ensure they delivered on their mandate.
He said the outgoing commissioners have made remarkable contributions.
