Ozoemena told the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Enugu that his administration planned to launch a “No Youth Left Behind’’ programme in that direction.

The defectors, including local government and ward officials, had earlier left the APC and followed the former Minister of Women Affairs, Sen. Aisha Alhassan, to the UDP.
Alhassan expressed the optimism on Wednesday in Abuja when she visited the UDP national secretariat with UDP Taraba State Executive to submit the state’s report to the party’s National Chairman, Godson Okoye.
The primaries, conducted under the supervision of the National Chairman of the party, Chief Godwin Okoye, at Shield Hotel, Jalingo, where Alhassan got unanimous endorsement of all the 224 delegates from the 16 local government areas of the state.
Alhassan, at a press conference shortly after joining UDP and picking its nomination form, claimed that the APC had become “the weakest political party in Taraba” with her defection.
