Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the Federal Government is negotiating a six-billion dollar loan with the Chinese government to complete the Ibadan to Kano rail track.
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ebenezer Babatope, on Sunday said the party would win the September 22 governorship election in Osun.
Amaechi said this while defending the ministry’s 2018 budget before the Joint House of Representatives Committees on Land Transport, Maritime Safety and Administration, Ports, Harbour and Water-Ways and Aviation on Thursday in Abuja.
Ambode, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna, said the meeting which was to woo Japanese investors, was being attended by two members of Japan House of Representatives.
Amaechi made the disclosure during the 2018 budget defence before the Senate Committee on Land Transport.
