The ruling was delivered on Friday by Justice Simon Amobeda following a case filed by Engr. Muhammad Babayo and a faction of the NNPP against the party’s leadership.

The National Chairman of the party, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, also corroborated this as a snag during the last elections.
The announcement of the development was made on Wednesday by the NNPP in Akure, the state capital, on Wednesday.
It will be recalled that Ayeni got the party’s ticket by polling 100 votes to defeat his sole rival, Prof. Ibrahim Ajagunna, at the party’s primary on April 26.
