The year 2021 edition of National Festival of Arts & Culture (NAFEST2021) may have come and gone, yet the memory of the one-week event will forever linger in the annals of National Cultural Festivals and amongst competitors and participants from the 36 states of the Federation.
Browsing: John Kayode Fayemi
This was made known in a statement on Monday by the Ekiti State Government.
OGP, a multilateral initiative, with membership in 79 countries, was launched at the United Nations General Assembly meeting in 2016.
He described Fayemi as “one of the greatest cultural assets in Nigeria who is stoking the arts and cultural sector for the overall development of Ekiti State and its wonderful homogenous indigenes”.
Without apology, I dare say that majority of Ekiti people are sensible, rational thinking folks that appreciate purposeful leadership. Purposeful leadership is assiduous in the quest to improve the indices of living standards of even the unborn generation.
It is now 100 days since the inauguration ceremony that heralded Dr. John Kayode Fayemi’s return to power as Governor of Ekiti State took place, after what now looks more like a divinely orchestrated interregnum of four years.
The witness said this as INEC opened its defence before the tribunal, sitting in FCT High Court Apo, in the petition brought by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the election, Prof. Olusola Kolapo, challenging the declaration of Fayemi as the winner of the election.
Fayemi had a unique style of greeting the people, throwing his hands in the air with some kind of bird-like movement.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of the party in the state, High Chief Jide Awe, the APC also thanked immensely the Ekiti State electorate for voting conscientiously for the party.
Awe expressed his gratitude to the good people of the State for their impressive turnout and peaceful conduct during the election exercise.
Fayose also alleged that the Federal Government has been delaying allocations to states in the federation because of the July 14 poll in Ekiti State, with a view to instigate workers in the state against his government.
The PDP stated its position in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, Fayose said Fayemi’s victory has only positioned the Minister of Mines and for Solid Minerals Development to suffer a worse and more debilitating defeat than that of 2014.
But wait a minute. Why are there so much hues and cries because of JKF? Why is JKF the center of their attention? Why are these people so eager and anxious to stop him? One of the greatest agonies of life is that we are constantly trying to stop that which is unstoppable. Fayemi is indeed unstoppable because he is desirable.
