In the Surulere incident, two policemen – a Corporal and an Inspector – allegedly died when the robbers, who had laid ambush, opened fire on their patrol vehicle

It was gathered that the incident happened on Sunday morning when the youth in Mushin were said to have rounded up five suspected armed robbers in their neighbourhood and burnt them to death

It was learnt that the three policemen killed in Abeokuta ran into the armed robbers, numbering about 15 as they were raiding The Apostolic Church in Ijemo-Agbadu area of the state capital.
