Acting Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has ordered Commissioners of Police and Supervisory Assistant Inspectors-General of Police to engage with labour for understanding ahead of Wednesday’s protest over fuel subsidy removal.

The IGP also ordered the mobilization and deployment of adequate police personnel, Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), technical capabilities of the Police Air wing, the Force Marine, Mounted Troops, K-9 Section, and other operational assets for the election.
He has consequently dispatched the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department, Joseph Egbunike as the coordinator of the election security in the state.
