Policemen, DSS operatives shot as gunmen attack Oshiomhole’s Deputy

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dr. Pius Odubu, was on Saturday attacked by gunmen.
Odubu was attacked at the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress in Auchi.
The Deputy Governor, who is seeking to replace his boss, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, in this year’s governorship election in Edo State on the platform of the APC, had gone to Yuchi to meet with the delegates of the party.
The attack was said to have taken place he left a social function with his boss.
The gunmen were said to have arrived at the APC Secretariat in Yuchi, which was reportedly locked against Odubu, thereby denying him access, and opened fire on him and his entourage, which included his security details.
Five of his security operatives were injure din the attack.
Those injured were said to include policemen and operatives of the Department of State Services.
