The Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Barrister Olivia Dazyem, has commended the role of the men of the pen profession in projecting the image of the state.
Dazyem said this was particularly so with the coverage of the local council poll in the state, held two weeks ago.
She said: “We are here to commend you for your commitment and resilient during the just concluded local government council poll in the state and the relentless sacrifice toward projecting the good image of Plateau people.”
She lauded the Nigerian media for keeping and promoting the good name of the country to the international community.
Dazyem promised to cooperate with media practitioners to enable them carry out their optimum responsibilities, stressing that she will ensure an open door policy for the journalists in the state.
The Commissioner disclosed this at the secretariat at the Nigeria Union of Journalists while on a courtesy call to the members.
