Few months after the confrontation between the Lagos State Government and former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State following the deportation of some Anambra State indigenes from Lagos State, a group of Nollywood stars, called Ohaneze Ndigbo, has indicated interest to shoot a movie to bring to life the issue.
Checks have it that the new film has the working: “Midnite in Lagos.”
It is expected to feature some prominent names in the industry.
Whether the flick will turn good remains in the realm of conjecture, but the expectation is high as the group said it is set to carry out a thorough research and produce an award winning film.
Recall some months back a group of people of Igbo extraction were allegedly arrested and deported from Lagos to Onitsha, the commercial nerve centre of Anambra State in the wee hours of the day.
This action of the Lagos State Government generated a lot of condemnation and criticism, especially among top Igbo Nigerians who called for the head of Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State for his act.
The case is now in court.
