An upscale social club in Lagos, Ikoyi Club, has suspended Module Alakija, a Lawyer and husband of businesswoman, Folorunsho Alakija,
Modupe was accused and suspended by the club of physically assaulting and abusing a fellow member of the Club.
The information was contained in a suspension notice signed by the club’s Honorary Secretary, Bamidele Ibironke.
It was learnt that Alakija’s gross misconduct was injurious to the interest of the club, thereby violating Rule (9) of the Club’s rule book.
He was thus suspended for one year.
The notice also stated that the suspension will take effect from December 1, 2021 to November 30, 2022.
