Former Chief Security Officer to the late General Sanni Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha; and a former Personal Assistant to the late Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, Alhaji Lateef Shofolahan, have been given a hearing date of April 29, 2013 by the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos for the suit challenging the death sentence pronounced on them by a Lagos High Court for complicity in the murder of Abiola.
Mustapha and Shofolahan were sentenced to death on January 30, 2012 by a Lagos High Court.
At the Court of Appeal on Friday, the condemned men asked to be allowed to regularize their briefs, a request that was granted.
They were accused of complicity in the killing of Abiola on June 4, 1999.
