The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, said he did not eat any food for a whole day and has not taken his medication for nine days as the Department of State Services, which is holding him in its detention facility in Abuja, says there is no money.
Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, made this known on his Twitter handle after a visit to Kanu in detention.
Ejimakor, in the tweet on Thursday, said he went on the visit to the IPOB leader with Kanu’s brother, Prince Emma Kanu; and lawyer, Nnaemeka Ejiofor.
He tweeted: “Special Update: Today, I visited #MNK in company of Prince Emma Kanu & Barr. Nnaemeka Ejiofor.
“He instructed me to make it public that he has not been given his drugs for the past 9 days & he has not eaten today because DSS says that they don’t have money to buy his food.
“#Sad.”
