The Katsina State Police Command on Friday confirmed the killing of a former Chairman of Ingawa Local Government Area, Alhaji Sama’ila Magaji, by suspected hoodlums in Katsina State.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Aminu Abubakar, who confirmed the incident on Friday, said Magaji was killed at his Barhim Housing Estate in Katsina on Thursday night.
“Following the incident, the police swung into action and arrested one suspect in connection with the murder,” Abubakar said.
He said the police had begun a manhunt of other fleeing suspects and assured that they would soon be brought to book.
The hoodlums forced themselves into the deceased’s house and killed him with machetes.
