The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Monday briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on developments as it relates to measures to contain the pandemic since it last did about a month ago.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The PTF was led to the meeting by its Chairman and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
Other members in the PTF team at the briefing were the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire; Coordinator of the PTF on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu; and Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu.
Expectations are high that there will be major pronouncements by the PTF this week after the briefing of the President.
Among issues Nigerians are awaiting pronouncements on are the reopening of schools and airports and relaxation of inter-state movement.
