Serie A strugglers, Brescia, have performed a stunning managerial U-turn by sacking their new manager and replacing him with the man they got rid of just a month ago.
The Italians – who count Mario Balotelli among their squad members – are rock bottom of the table and have suffered three straight defeats under their new manager Fabio Grosso.
In that time, they have scored no goals and conceded 10 – leading to the board pulling the trigger and sacking Grosso after just 28 days in charge.
The club’s fans spent much of that month protesting about the sacking of their previous manager Eugenio Corini, who steered the club to promotion from Serie B last season.
Incredibly, the board have now moved to re-hire Corini just a month after sacking him, and he will take charge of the team again in their battle to avoid relegation.
Brescia have one win in their last 10 matches, and sit five points adrift of safety in the Serie A table.
The club are owned by controversial former Leeds chief Massimo Cellino.
