The Borno State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the killing of nine persons after a suspected Boko Haram insurgents’ attack in Mailari village in Konduga Local Government Area of the state.
Aderemi Opadokun, the state Commissioner of Police, said this while speaking with newsmen in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Sunday.
Opadokun said: “Today, September 27, 2015, suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked Mailari village in Konduga LGA.
“Nine persons were reported killed while 10 were injured.
“The injured victims are now being treated at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
“Security has already been beefed up to forestall a recurrence, while investigation is in progress.”
