Atiku, Tinubu make Buhari’s campaign team

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are among the prominent Nigerians that made the presidential campaign team of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, for the February 14 election.
Abubakar was one of those who contested the presidential primaries against Buhari.
Tinubu is one of the national leaders of the APC and was initially highly favoured to emerge as the vice presidential candidate of the party.
While Abubakar is the Vice Chairman North of the campaign organisation, Tinubu is to oversee the South a Vice Chairman.
The Presidential Campaign Council, which members were named on Tuesday night, also featured the names of Buhari as chairman and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as the alternate chairman.
The National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, is the Deputy Chairman of the PCO.
The list, released to the media on Tuesday by the PCO’s Director of Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, also has former former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, Chief Audu Ogbeh and Senator Olorunnibe Mamora playing crucial roles.
