The Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Basil Ejidike, has said that the party is collaborating with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to win the 2027 presidential election in the state.
The Chairman of the party revealed this on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) is reporting that Anambra State is ruled by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, a member of APGA.
Addressing the stakeholders at the meeting, Ejidike said: “We are working with the ruling APGA to make sure that we deliver 95 percent of Anambra votes to the APC and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.”
He also affirmed the party’s support for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
“I move the motion that the Anambra APC adopt President Bola Tinubu as our presidential candidate in 2027,” he said.
The motion was seconded by the party’s stalwarts in the meeting, including Nicholas Ukachukwu, the APC governorship candidate in the November 8, 2025 election in the state, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife.
The chairman further said that the meeting was convened for the Congress Harmonising Committee to organise members at the unit, ward, and local government levels for the upcoming ward congress, starting on Wednesday.

Also speaking, Ukachukwu underscored the need for party discipline and unity among members, if APC must win the presidential election and other elections in the state.
He said: “Anambra APC will grow when the right things are done.
“We joined the APC to make the party better in Anambra and not to cause confusion or chase away the people we met in the party.”
He frowned at the situation where an APC stalwart would defect to another party, return later and still wanted to maintain his position, instead of queueing up to give others a chance.
