Rasheedat Ajibade has criticised the Nigeria Football Federation over what she described as poor preparation for upcoming international competitions, including the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The Nigeria women’s national football team captain raised concerns over the lack of official communication regarding camp arrangements and friendly matches ahead of the April international window.
Ajibade said players had not received confirmed details on the team’s camp despite being informally told it would open on April 11.
She said: “We are not just preparing for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations; we are also fighting for World Cup qualification.
“Our performance at WAFCON will determine whether we qualify for the World Cup.
“So why are we not preparing with the seriousness and intensity this demands?
“This is not something to take lightly, for God’s sake.”
She added: “I no fit cry. Abeg weti be all this one for how long (sic).”

The Super Falcons are expected to compete at the rescheduled tournament scheduled to hold from July 26 to August 16 in Morocco.
The development comes amid concerns over the team’s readiness for both the continental competition and the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The issue has also drawn reaction following the federation’s announcement that the Nigeria national football team will participate in the Unity Cup in London.
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie also questioned the situation, posting: “So Eagles get another AFCON for July?”
The criticism has raised fresh questions over planning and coordination within Nigeria’s national teams ahead of major competitions.
