The verdict of the coroner inquest into the death of several persons involved in a ghastly accident in Lagos State in 2010 has, again, been adjourned.
Tajudeen Elias, the magistrate in charge of the coroner inquest, on Wednesday further adjourned the verdict to April 25.
Several victims of the ghastly road accident died when a Dangote sugar truck ran into stationery vehicles at a police checkpoint on the Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Elias had last week not showed up to deliver the verdict.
But on Wednesday when he did, he said the verdict was not ready, fixing April 25.
The coroner’s inquest was initiated by Access to Justice and Lagos-based lawyer, Femi Falana.
It is aimed at invesigating the cause of the deaths, which occurred on August 15, 2010.
The coroner’s inquest lasted sixteen months and there were a total of eighteen sittings between September 2010 and March 2012.
