The appointment was confirmed via a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi.

The state Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, gave the ultimatum at a meeting with the kingmakers in his office on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti.

The state Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Akin Omole, said in a statement that the new monarch’s appointment was ratified on Wednesday at the virtual SEC meeting chaired by Governir Kayode Fayemi.

Fayemi, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, performed the presentation in line with the COVID-19 protocols, with few people in attendance and strict observance of physical distancing.
