Oluwagbemiga Eludire, JUSUN chairman , who announced the strike,  said it was necessary in  order to put a stop to mismanagement of the judiciary in the state.

Eludire said that Osun Chief Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo, had declared war against workers, adding  that the union would not back down except answers were provided to the questions asked the embattled CJ.

Justice T.G. Ringim of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday June 28, 2021, adjourned till October 7, 2021 to hear a motion filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, seeking the final forfeiture of the $5.78million and N2.4billion linked to a former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.

The group; the Incorporated Trustees of Alaigbo Development Foundation, also sued the Federal Judicial Service Commission, President of the Court of Appeal, Federal Character Commission (FCC) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) as 2nd to 5th defendants respectively.
