Lawan gave the advice on Thursday while declaring the National Public Hearing on the alteration to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution in Abuja.
The legal practitioners, under the auspices of Alpha and Rohi, a legal firm, made their presentation at the three-day public hearing of the House Committee on the Review of 1999 Constitution on Thursday.
Akeredolu made the submission at the Akure Centre of the South West Zonal Public Hearing, organised by the House of Representatives Special Committee on Constitution Review.
Lawan made this known on Tuesday in an announcement to that effect and conveyed in a letter addressed to him by the Chairman of the Constitution Review Committee, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
Rep. Ahmed Idris Wase, the Chairman, House Special Committee on Constitution Review, said this in a statement issued on Sunday, in Abuja.
The Deputy Senate President made this known when he briefed newsmen ahead of the Zonal Constitutional Review.
Omo-Agege, gave the charge in an address at the APC South-South Town Hall Meeting for Constitution Review in Asaba.
Yakubu said this at the inauguration of the House of Representatives Special Committee on the Review of 1999 Constitution (as Amended) on Thursday in Abuja.
He said this in Abuja on Thursday while delivering a speech, titled: :Moving Nigeria Away from Tipping Over,” at a consultative dialogue attended by various socio-cultural groups, including Afenifere, Middle Belt Forum, Northern Elders Forum, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo and Pan Niger Delta Forum
The meeting was presided over by the group’s leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
Omo-Agege, who is the Chairman of the Senate Panel on the Review of the 1999 Constitution, made this known at the first meeting of the Ad hoc Committee after its inauguration on February 12, 2020.
Akinwumi Ambode, Rauf Aregbesola, Rotimi Akeredolu, Ayodele Fayose and Abiola Ajimobi of Lagos, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Oyo State respectively, were present

This is especially so for the South East that has been agitating to be brought to par with most other geopolitical zones with six states each
