A 25-year-old student, Olalekan Oni, was on Monday docked in an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged indecent assault.
The police charged Oni with indecent assault.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 16, 2024, at Oye-Ekiti.
He alleged that the defendant touched Omukoro Irikefe and Oseni Akingbola’s body sexually.
The police said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 150 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
The prosecutor prayed the court for an adjournment to enable him to study the case file and present his witnesses.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Counsel for the defendant, Femi Falade, urged the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
The Chief Magistrate, Owoleso Olarewaju, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N150,000 with one surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case until July 23 for hearing.
