Alhaji Sule Gaya, Sarkin Fadar Kano, has died.
He died on Thursday evening in Kano after a protracted illness, according to a family member, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi.
According to Abdullahi, Alhaji Gaya would be buried at 10am on Friday at the palace.
Aged 107, the deceased left behind many children, grand children and great grand children, amongst whom is Dr. Binta Sulaiman of the Mass Communication Department of Bayero University Kano.
Gaya was a member of the Northern Region’s legislature and once served as the parliamentary secretary in the regional Ministry of Lands and Survey during the First Republic.
