A former Governor of Kwara State and Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, was this morning quizzed for over two hours by officers of the anti-fraud agency of the Nigeria Police, the Special Fraud Unit, over a controversial N21 billion loan from Intercontinental Bank.
Saraki arrived at the SFU office in Ikoyi, Lagos at about 11am and left at 2pm.
News men were prevented from taking shots of the former governor.
In fact, one Chief Superintendent of Police Akpan, who is said to be the Personal Assistant of the Commissioner of Police in charge of the SFU, Tunde Ogunsakin, manhandled journalists as Saraki was about leaving.
Akpan was reported to have locked up the journalists in the office of the spokesperson of the SFU, Ngozi Isinume.
Saraki came to the SFU n a convoy of three black vehicles.
He was inside a black Mercedes Benz Jeep (GL 450 4matic), with registration number CH 165 RBC.
He has had a running battle with the SFU over his invitation to answer questions over a N21 billion Intercontinental Bank loan that went awry.
Invited about a month ago, Saraki has headed to the court to challenge the move by the SFU, saying he had been quizzed over the same issue.
