The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Monday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo for about two hours.
The meeting took place in Obasanjo’s penthouse within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Saraki arrived for the meeting at about 5:30pm and did not emerge from the penthouse until 7:12pm.
Saraki, who drove into the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in a black Toyota Land Cruiser, told newsmen that he came to see Obasanjo considering that he was absent during the inauguration of the library last year.
He said: “You know, I missed the official opening of the library and that is why I have decided to come and see the place and, honestly, it is beautiful.
“We are very proud of what he has done here.”
