The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has called on Nigerian workers to pray for the nation as it goes through unusual trying times.
“Even though the current administration in the country has made appreciable progress on the economy, the nation needs our collective will and wisdom to successfully meander through the uncommon security challenge,” Ahmed said.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, the governor called for a renewed commitment to value addition and more circumspection in matters of security.
Ahmed, according to the statement, commended workers in Kwara State, both in the public and private sectors, for their contributions to the sustenance of the state economy’s and assured public service workers, particularly civil servants, that his administration remains committed to the provision and sustenance of conducive work environment for them in line with the performance contract initiated by his administration.
“As part of our shared prosperity agenda, advancement in the civil service will henceforth be premised on optimum level of performance rather than business as usual,” the governor pledged.
Ahmed said further reassured the workers in the state of his commitment to ensure that Kwara State becomes the most efficient state government in Nigeria, using capacity building and service reform.
