A Grade 1 Area Court sitting in Dei-Dei, Abuja, on Thursday sentenced a 28-year-old, Post Of Sale (POS) operator, Chibisi Nwajiwe, to 12 months in prison for cheating another of N50, 000.
The Judge, Malam Saminu Suleiman sentenced the convict of Area 1, Garki, Abuja, after she pleaded not guilty to the charge of cheating against her.
Suleiman sentenced the convict with an option of N50, 000 fine.

The prosecutor, J. S. Antiko, earlier told the court that Uwota Ekele, of No 3 NEPA road, Kubwa, Abuja, reported the matter at the Kubwa Police Station.
He said the convict deceived the complainant into transferring the sum of N50,000 to her account using her Opay ATM, but the complainant never received any money.
He said that during the police investigation, the convict confessed to committing the offences.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 322 of the Penal Code.
