The Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture says it will play host to over 30 countries in the forthcoming Kano International Trade Fair.
The fair is scheduled to start on November 19 and end on December 4.
The KACCIMA Director-General, Tijjani Abdu, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano on Thursday that countries like America, Argentina, Belgium, Denmark and Spain were expected to participate in the fair.
Abdu said that all the ECOWAS countries and the 36 states in Nigeria were also expected to be at the fair.
Tijiani Abdu said: “This will be the most prominent and best organised trade fair by the state so far.
“Arrangements for the production of trade fair brochures have been concluded. These brochures will contain all the information about our ancient city – Kano.
“We have visited several states and some of their collaborating partners that include private companies and other business enterprises to woo them to partake in the fair.”
The KACCIMA boss said the fair would afford companies and other business interests unlimited opportunities to promote their businesses.
He said business promotion would be facilitated through networking and rubbing of minds at round-table discussions.
Abdu assured that Kano, as the centre of commerce in the North, would continue to maintain its status ahead of others for socioeconomic development.
He solicited the cooperation and understanding of the general public to make the fair a unique and fascinating one, especially now that security had been assured in the state.
According to the KACCIMA boss, Kano is a rendezvous for business, hence the need for all and sundry to partake in the forthcoming trade fair.
He said that goods to be displayed at the fair would be affordable.
