Dear Mr. Radda,
I address you as a citizen of Nigeria following events from outside the country, so you will please excuse me if I am getting things wrong. Nigeria is facing a serious insurgency. People are dying in droves, families are being traumatised by bandits who kidnap and treat them worse than they treat their cows. It is a very sad event.
From news reports, it is worse in your state. It was shocking to hear that you chose to “negotiate” with people that constantly make your mandate a complete joke. It is said that a governor’s job is the safety and security of his people. In that duty, from all indications, you are not doing exceptionally well, to put it mildly.
Recently, I have heard that you have chosen to negotiate rather than send these animals terrorising your people to hell to meet shaitan, their grand-master. It is shocking and a travesty, but many of us know that it is a move you will live to regret, that is if you have a garment of shame. It is even much more shameful to hear that you have lobbied for the killers in custody to be released, so that they can either join those pillaging your state or act as informants. That Katsinawas have said nothing shows that perhaps they think you are taking the decisions in their best interest. I hold a contrary opinion and history is on my side that these animals do not recognize anything except scorched-earth policy. They show no mercy to their captives and I do not see any reason why you should want to treat them with kid’s gloves.
That is neither here nor there for me.
I write this to you because I have seen the shocking pictures of the people who were recently released from captivity. Most of them are in pigsties dressed as hospitals. In any civilised society, the facility in which these people are being rehabilitated will fail the accreditation test as an animal shelter.

I am shocked beyond marrow, that in the year 2026, you still have these kinds of facilities as hospitals. Mr. Radda, how do you sleep at night? How do you feel in your starched babar riga while the citizens you govern are in such a pre-historic state? How would you feel if the Yar’adua’s were given an opportunity from jannah to visit their state? I already squirm as I write this.
I believe that for you to have presented yourself for elective office and to gain the votes of the people, you owe them governance, you owe them service – from the pictures of the ‘hospitals’ where the released captives are being treated, you have delivered none.
My challenge to you is to buckle up. Invest in a garment of shame and go ahead to renovate the hospitals in your state. Make it look like the dispensary of yore if you cannot make it look like a clinic. Scrape the walls and the floors, renovate them, put hospitable beds in.
You are a young leader, show that the youths have better things to offer than the old cargoes that have ruined and are ruining our country.
Rethink your senseless accord with bloodhounds and work for the peace, progress, and development of your state.
