Ochekpe commends Plateau graduating indigenes for excellent performance

The Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Reng Ochekpe, has commended the graduating officers of the National War College, Abuja for their excellent performance in their chosen career.

Ochekpe made this known at a dinner night organized to honour the officers over the weekend.

She said the dinner was organized in honour of the Plateau State graduating officers who had shown brilliance in their chosen career.

She prayed for the officers success in their career, even as she charged them to work as a united body.

“United we stand, divided we fall,” she stated.

Ochekpe that through the leadership of the Plateau State indigenes in Abuja, they would continue to meet and forge ahead.

In his remarks, the President of the Plateau State indigenes in Abuja, Elder Bitrus Bako Nabasu, said that the Minister had made it possible for them to know that they have indigenes at the War College.

Nabasu thanked Ochekpe for hosting them and called on other prominent citizens of the state to emulate her gesture.

Also speaking at the dinner, a former Governor of Plateau State, Chief Joshua Dariye, described the Minister as a woman of integrity and value.

Dariye added that her gesture was something to be valued, appreciated and emulated by all.

Speaking to the Military officers, Senator Dariye said: “I commend your zeal and passion for the profession you have chosen and I pray that none of you will die young and God will protect you all in this career.”

In his response on behalf of other graduands, Navy Captain A. D. Bingel thanked Ochekpe for making them to have a sense of belonging as indigenes of Plateau State.

“Before this hosting, we always feel like orphans, but with the Minister hosting us, we now have a sense of belonging,” Bingel explained.
