The Peoples Democratic Party in the South West has described the demise of the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesha in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Oladele Olashore, as the “exit of a titan and a the fall of a tree that made a forest.”
In a statement signed by the PDP National Vice-Chairman, South West, Chief Segun Oni, the party, which described Olashore as “a man so high but yet so humble,” commiserated with the people of Iloko-Ijesa, the people and government of Osun State and the entire people of Nigeria over the monarch’s death.
The statement added: “This is simply the exit of a titan and the fall of a tree that indeed made a forest.
“Oba Oladele Olashore was a man so high but yet so humble. He was an exemptional Nigerian by all standard, in all directions and in all dimensions.
“On behalf of the PDP family in the six States of the Southwest, I commiserate with his family, the people of Iloko-Ijesa, the people and government of Osun State and the government and people of Nigeria, a country that Kabiyesi served so well with dignity.”
