Wolves’ striker, Gbolahan Salami has tied up with Enugu Rangers’ Osagbuna Ighodaro as the highest goals scorers in the Nigerian Premier League 2013/14 season.
Both strikers who earned call ups to the senior national team have hit the back of the net 14 times each.
Salami, fondly called Nigerian Balotelli joined up with Ighodaro on 14 goals in rescheduled NPFL game against Abia Warriors on Monday. The striker converted a spot kick in the 86th minute of the tie.
The Nigerian League highest goals scorer record is still being held by former Kaduna United’s striker Jude Aneke who banged in 20 goals to his credit.
