Commanding Officers of the Nigerian Army will hold a five-day meeting in Kaduna to strategise on more efficient and functional ways of handling personnel and resources in peace time and war.
A statement issued on Saturday by Colonel Kingsley Umoh, the spokesman of 1 Division, Nigeria Army, Kaduna, said the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tucker Buratai, and Principal Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters would attend the event.
Umoh said the Commanding Officers Workshop was the second to be held after the maiden edition, which took place in Maiduguri, Borno State from March 13 to 17, 2017.
“Over 75 Commanding Officers drawn from formations and units of the NA are expected at the workshop,” the statement said.
Umoh explained that the workshop was aimed at improving knowledge and capacity of the commanding officers in effective administration of resources at all times..
He added that the participants would share experiences and ideas with their peers and superiors that would guide them in the effective discharge of their responsibilities.
NAN reports that the workshop would run from July 10 to 14.
