Transfer window of the 2011/12 Nigeria Premier League will open on Monday immediately after the conclusion Week 19 matches billed for this weekend.
Acting Executive Secretary of the league body, Tunji Babalola, confirmed this in an interview with The Eagle Online on Wednesday.
Babalola said: “Clubs are allowed to register new players after this weekend’s matches, which marks the end of the first round of the league.
“We have decided to allow the clubs get new players because it is in our programme and it will also afford them the opportunity to make their teams stronger.
“I am sure that all the clubs will like to sign on new players and that will make the second round a lot better since the boys would be evenly spread.
“Clubs can only sign on few players in areas they feel they need to strengthen and they must not exceed 35 players.
“The window lasts for a month and by that time, the clubs would have discussed, agreed and cleared the new players to play for their teams.”
