Two male bodies have been recovered under the debris of a seven-storey building which collapsed at Oba Idowu Oniru Street by Avi Maria hospital close to sand field bus stop, Lekki, Lagos State.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and Police confirmed early Sunday morning that six persons were trapped in the collapse of the building which is still under construction.
LASEMA Director, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke – Osanyintolu, has formally confirmed the incident, in a statement e-signed by him Sunday morning.
He said the emergency workers have been mobilized to the scene and efforts are underway to rescue the remaining victims.
