The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has mourned the passage of the Publisher of NewsDirect newspaper, Dr. Samuel Ibiyemi.
The IGP spoke in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, on Wednesday.
Adejobi said Egbetokun deeply regretted and expressed heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Ibiyemi.
He said: “The IGP was deeply saddened upon receiving the news of Dr Ibiyemi’s passing, recognizing the significant loss caused by his death amongst the journalism community and the nation as a whole.

The IGP recognizes the invaluable service Dr Ibiyemi rendered to the nation through his media platform, NewsDirect, and his relentless pursuit of truth and accountability.
