FIBA World Cup: Nigeria’s D’Tigers devour Korea

Nigeria’s D’Tigers eased past South Korea in their final group game at the ongoing FIBA World Cup in China.
The Nigerians outdunked their South Korean counterparts by 108-66 points to keep a place in the classification series.
The D’Tigers led four quarters of the entertaining tie by 17-15, 32-18, 30-19 and completed the tour in the fourth quarter by 29-18 at the Wuhan Wuhan Sports Center.
The Alex Nwora lads would on Friday battle West African neighbours, Cote d’Ivoire, in the first classification game before taking on Portugal in their bid to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The Eagle Online recalls the Nigerian side were crushed by Russia and Argentina in their first two games of the championship.
