A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mr. Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, has called on the youth of Lamurde Local Government Area to champion peaceful coexistence and act as catalysts for positive change.
Haske made the call while speaking during the distribution of relief materials to victims of recent local unrest, emphasizing that achieving lasting peace is a collective duty and a prerequisite for meaningful development.
He further cautioned young people against being exploited by self-interested individuals to incite violence.
Stressing that dialogue and mutual understanding are the most effective tools for conflict resolution, Haske noted that the relief intervention serves as a symbol of solidarity with the community.
The politician also urged parents and community leaders to consistently mentor the youth on the essential values of patience and mutual respect.

“To people of Lamurde federation, let’s be peaceful, let’s stay clear of people who would instigate us into violence,” he said, emphasizing that humanity must come before political or communal interests.
He added that “without peace, there is no coexistence” and urged the younger generation to protect their future by refusing to be used as tools for destruction.
