Nigeria’s representatives at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, the Super Falconets, are enjoying their stay in Canada as several home-made delicacies are served at their Moncton camp in Canada.
The Peter Dedevbo girls were treated to dishes such as eba, akpu, amala, egusi and ogbono soup.
The team’s captain, Patience Okaeme, in her appreciation, said it was a meal to remember.
“It’s very interesting and somehow it makes us feel at home,” she said. “They are warm and nice.”
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Community in Moncton has promised the girls a visit to the Zoological Garden and Magic Mountain in Canada.
“As long as they’re here, we would connect them to all of the resources they need. We’re going to take them to the zoo. You know what? We’re going to take them to Magic Mountain. They’re excited to hear about Magic Mountain. The mountain that is so magical that it’s the only place in the world where cars go up instead of down,” a Nigerian based in Canada hinted.
