Nigeria’s veteran actor, John Okafor, professionally known as Mr Ibu, is died.
The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed the death of Mr Ibu on Saturday.

In a post on his Instagram page, which announced Mr Ibu’s death, Rollas also reported the death of the mother of actress Kate Henshaw.
He wrote: “Sad Day for Actors Guild of Nigeria.
“Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today and Mr lbu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor.
“I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it.
“May his soul rest in peace.”
The Eagle Online recalls that Mr Ibu, 63, underwent two surgeries that led to the amputation of his leg in 2023.
