The Joint National Assembly Panel on the Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday embarked on the amendment of Electoral Act for fourth time.
The amendment this time, however, is to be carried out behind closed door.
Briefing newsmen before closed session, the Chairman of the joint Committees, Senator Suleiman Nazif, said that this will be the forth time that the committee will amend the Electoral Act.
Nazif added that the Committee will do the best in the interest of the country.
However, the Committee is silent whether the card reader was included in the amendment forwarded to Presidency in August, which President Muhammadu Buhari did not assent to.
Details later.
