Emmanuel Adesina has assumed duty as the new Commissioner of Police in Benue State with a commitment to fight crime headlong.
The spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, Sewuese Anene, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement, issued in Makurdi, the state capital, said the CP promised to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment.

CP Adesina called for the cooperation of officers and men of the Command as well as support from members of the public with useful and timely information that would help in the fight against crime.
According to Anene, a Superintendent of Police, he gave assurances that the Command under his leadership will ensure protection of lives and property of the people of Benue State.
Adesina, who was recently promoted to the rank of CP, joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1992.
